Clear-cutting in Finland is an attitude defect that goes against all the established contemporary realities - and nothing else.
That attitude defect has exactly the same characteristics that go against the studied realities as the attitude stagnation of many Finns and also politicians towards culture.
But - the ban on clear-cutting, like raising the value of culture, comes to the center of politics - as did the third issue I strongly advocated - carlessness in cities - because private cars make no sense in many cities - and for many, the private car craze is simply an attitude defect that goes against contemporary reality.
It's just a stagnant attitude left over from history whose time has come to be left behind.
