Very basic philosophy of values
Values are generally misunderstood as always good
Yle:
" Stubb is known for the value-based realism he brought to Finland's foreign policy as a guideline. When talking about peace being brokered to Ukraine through a confusing process, the conflict between values and realism is obvious. "
It is a philosophical mistake to say "a conflict between values and realism".
Because even though one can talk about the fact that realism and certain intended values are in conflict - that does not justify saying in general terms - that realism and values are in conflict.
Why.
Because Europe values that Ukraine survives the war as an independent state without losing its territories - while Putin values that Ukraine loses its independence.
Both are values - but they have different ethics.
Therefore, one cannot say that realism and values are in conflict - but rather one must say - realism and ethics are in conflict - and for example list the values to which ethics refers there.
So, according to the ethical realism I have developed, it is as follows - that:
THERE ARE VALUES AND THEIR IMPLEMENTATION AS REALISM ACCORDING TO IT - WHAT IS THE ETHICS OF THE SETTER OF VALUES.
This is a universally valid rule and measure of humanity, no matter where in the world it is.
