I think I now know:

1. How to get people to learn logical thinking and recognize the errors within it.

2. How to get people interested in politics.

3. How to use this to boost a nation’s performance—specifically its capacity to identify problems and solve them.

4. How to improve democracy.

5. How to raise the intelligence of Finns, including the general public.

6. How to enhance the entire nation’s capacity for study—once logical thinking skills are in place—as this is an essential prerequisite for learning. After all, study is founded on two pillars: science (and its inherent logic) and the student’s own capacity for logical thinking, comprehension, and reasoning.

That is a bold set of promises—but this is how it works.

Whenever we discuss or contemplate any subject, there are always two perspectives involved: the subject matter itself, and the way in which it is being thought about.

If the thinking process goes awry—due to a flaw in logic—then the subject matter itself is also perceived incorrectly; it becomes distorted because the thinking process is distorted.

Furthermore, when people have different ways of approaching a subject, their thinking and comprehension may fail to align. In the worst-case scenario, if the logic behind both parties' thinking is flawed, they will be unable to understand one another at all.

Conversely, people who think in different ways—provided they are both thinking logically—can still understand each other, so long as they are aware of the other person’s mode of thought. But now, to the core of the matter: how can the points listed above be implemented?

Through public political discussions—where participants occasionally step back from the topic at hand to evaluate each other’s logical reasoning—done in a civil manner and for the purpose of collective learning.

This creates a situation that is highly therapeutic in terms of thinking—for the speakers, the politicians, and the audience alike.

The end result is precisely what I listed at the beginning.
