I do not consider Rembrandt to be visual reality cooying art, i.e. a copy of reality, but an improved version of reality.
Same with Edelfelt - that although it looks real and although it is more than real and better than reality - it is not the kind of reality that is found in naturalistic reality copying visual art.
Thus, one can say that art is, from one point of view, an improved copy of reality that resembles its creator.
